A samurai once asked Zen Master Hakuin where he would go after he died.
Hakuin answered “How am I supposed to know?”
“How do you know? You’re a Zen master!” exclaimed the samurai.
“Yes, but not a dead one,” Hakuin answered. – Zen mondo

‘…either for learning and information, or for pleasure and escape… I was fascinated and transported but also what I learned about meditation and spirituality in this epic has helped me on my own path… It is a must read and a must own.’ – Andrew, Lord Stone of Blackheath

Having given up academic life I have turned to fiction, though this has been a night job for decades! I live in Ghana in the winter and France in the summer. My time is filled by writing blogs, tweets and prose, reading and various attempts to keep fit. Keeping my brain plastic is a daily challenge!
My published work can be found at chronometerpublications.me
Azimuth, the subject of this site, is a novel which has dominated my last ten years and I have no reservations in making it public. I wanted to write an epic which did two things. The first was to influence the reader into thinking playfully about the great and difficult questions of life and the second was to create a saga of unrelenting excitement.
Meanwhile, if you would like to do a bit of visual judgment of my character, then there are two YouTube readings below!!! Reading to an anonymous audience is a bit unnerving. Since I have not got the advantage of a flamboyant studio and flash cameras and microphones, everything has to be pared down to face and voice.
(Azimuth is available as three e-books from all distributers )
